Civic Type R fans, this one’s for you! We’ve got our hands on every generation of Civic Type R, and they’re about to face off over the quarter mile to see just how much the Type R has evolved since 2001! Now of course, it should come as no surprise that the older editions come at a disadvantage when it comes to power output. If you take a look at the original EP3, it comes with a 2-litre naturally-aspirated engine (with VTEC!) that can produce 200hp and 196Nm of torque. In comparison, the all-new FL5 comes with a 2-litre turbo petrol engine that can produce 320hp and 420Nm! But of course, don’t forget that they’re all on a level playing field in that they’re all FWD, and they’re all manuals! The question is, will the new FL5 prove to be worth its eye-watering £47,000 price tag? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!Mat’s hot hatch deal: Porche 911 Turbo generations: https://hiblog.tv/carwowSell your car with carwow:
